Finn is an old pro at camp. Just this summer he attended two weeks of Kids Science Lab's camp as well as a two week Beauty and the Beast theater camp. But the girls have always stayed home with Rosa. Well, with the impending change to full day preschool coming up, I signed them up for two camps. The first was Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy camp at Emerald City. Lourdes was so excited to be in camp like her brother. She marched right in there and never looked back. Sabine, on the other hand, was very nervous. She needed extra hugs each day. Then Lourdes would put her arm around her and lead her back to the teacher But Sabine stuck it out and they both did great at their first performance!
Finn also participated in a book club this summer put together by his friend, Hank. The kids, all soon-to-be first graders, read (or had read to them) Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little and Mrs. Frisby and The Rats of Nimh. They all really enjoyed it, understood the books and were able to answer questions about them. It was fun to watch.
