We had a fun, busy July 4th in Ohio (as per usual). It started with a July 4th 5k in Bexley.
Followed by the annual Bexley parade.
Then only a few hours to rest before heading to Isabelle and Lucia's birthday pool party. The only bummer was that the whole time we were in Ohio the temperature didn't rise above 78 degrees. That was fine for the kids to swim in, but I need a bit warmer weather to get in the pool.
Zane photo bomb!
The next day we were off to Lou Laser's to go fishing. Izzy went with us and we all had a really good time.
When the kids got tired of fishing, we broke out the bubbles and baseball.
And we finished off our Saturday with a cook out at Monna's house. Vicki brought her face paints to add to the fun.
And before we headed back to Chicago, we met up with the Mudras at the Columbus Zoo. We were supposed to hang all morning at Zoombezi Bay, but it was about 70 degrees and raining. After a half hour in the pools, my kids were blue and we decided to head to the zoo. The safari exhibit is really cool. We even got to watch a cheetah race!
