The Chariot

In order to accommodate our expanded family, Joe and I had to purchase a new stroller. Turns out there are only like 5 triple strollers on the market and each of them proved unacceptable for different reasons. One stroller had three seats behind each other, but that looked like it would be difficult to turn at cross walks. Another was three seats next to each other, but that looked like it wouldn't fit through many doors. Finally Joe found a double stroller that had an optional toddler seat that fit onto the front. This seemed like the best compromise and since all the reviews said it was a "dream" to push, we decided to go for it. Here are some pictures of all the kids getting ready to go on a walk with Rosa. Oh and on a side note, the monster hoodie Finn is sporting is from our friend Jaime and is a big hit!

Our Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday, we went with our friends Lourdes, Jonathan, Mae and Ian to the Didier Farms Pumpkin Patch. This place is excellent. It has rides, a bounce house, a big slide, a petting zoo, a tractor ride, and various homemade fall snacks. Finn had a blast riding the rides and picking out pumpkins for himself, his parents, and his baby sisters. Sabine and Lourdes came along, but they spent the entire time sacked out in their stroller. Oh well, I bet by next year they will be tearing this place up. One thing that cracked me up was a sign that defined what a bale of hay was for the city kids. I will have to get Finn out to the Manning Farm soon so that he knows his roots.

One Month Old!

One month has passed since the twins birth and the girls are getting bigger each day. At their one month check up, Lourdes was 5 pounds 6 ounces and 18.5 inches long and Sabine was 5 pounds 2 ounces and 18 inches long. This makes me think that the doctors got it wrong when they recorded Sabine's length at birth. I seriously doubt she has shrunk a half an inch. But I'm sure it isn't easy trying to stretch out a wiggling newborn to get an accurate measurement. Here are some pictures of our big one monthers. The adorable flower headbands are from Aunt Kristin. Could the tweenies look any cuter?

Three Weeks Old!

Welcome Home Sabine and Lourdes!

It was a great week here for the Manning/Kline household as both of our girls were discharged from NICU. Lourdes came home on Saturday the 2nd. It seems seeing her sister leave gave Sabine the motivation she needed to make progress on her feedings. On Sunday, she pulled out her nose tube and from then on took all of her feedings by mouth. Because of this accomplishment, the doctors discharged her on Tuesday the 5th. We couldn't be happier to have the girls rocky start behind us and to start our life as a family of five!

Visitors!

Finnegan, Lourdes and Sabine have been enjoying the company of a lot of visitors lately. Grandma came out the end of September to spend a week with the kids. She spent her days with Joe and I at the hospital and then spent her evenings hanging with Mr. Finn. Most of her Finny time was spent reading from the book of Classic Children's Stories she gave him as a big brother gift. He had her reading his favorite 5 or so stories over and over again. Grandma had them pretty much memorized by the time she left. We also had a second visitor on Tuesday. Aunt Michelle came in early for a business meeting to meet the girls and have dinner with all of us at Finn's favorite Mexican restaurant. Finn loves the restaurant not because of the food, but because it is across the street from a fire station. After dinner, we all walked over to the fire station and the nice fireman turned on the truck's lights much to Finny's delight. Guess it should come as no surprise that Finny will be a fireman for Halloween.
