This Week In Finn

Had to share a few cute moments from this week. Finn's newest sentence is "I want to do that." This comes out at times like when mommy says you can't throw your fork. Finn then clarifies, "but I want to do that." Oh, well I guess that changes things. Finny also is becoming quite the helpful Spanish to English translator. We were walking out the door to go to Whole Foods this week and he said "basura." Now Rosa had told me what this means before, but for some reason I couldn't remember it. So it bothered me the whole way to the store. Finally right before we went in I said, Finn what is basura? To which he replied "basura - trash." Awww...right.

Finn is also getting quite self sufficient at entertaining himself. When Momma was busy making pasta earlier this week, Finn climbed up on to the chair, pulled the blanket down on himself and started reading his book. He looked like such a big boy, I had to snap a picture.

And lastly, Finn enjoyed his bike ride at the Thomas' so much that it finally guilted dad and I into putting together the Kettler trike he received for Christmas. Like all kids toys, it came in 50 separate pieces and took us 2 HOURS to put together. But it was well worth it as Finn had a BLAST riding around on his big boy trike at the zoo on Saturday.

And Finally It Was Easter!

We spent Easter morning playing with our new toys and searching for Easter eggs with Izzy and Xavier. Finn enjoyed his Easter basket filled with a froggy and race cars.

Xavier introduced Finn to the fun that is Easter egg hunts!

Then Xavier was nice enough to let Finn take a little ride on Xav's cool new bike!

As Xavier showed us later on our ride down to Starbucks, he is a pro at bike riding.
Izzy took a break from riding her own new bike to give her new dolly some lovin'.

Then Joe, Finn and I got dressed and headed to Bexley Monk for Easter brunch. Finn was ALL about his Grandma at brunch.

But Easter wasn't done yet. Turns out the Easter bunny left some gifts in Chicago for Finn as well. Here he is checking out his new computer and soccer ball.

Finny And His Buddy

Saturday morning, we went to the Mudra's house so that Finn could spend some time with this bud Jillian while the adults caught up. The kids had a great time, especially when they were racing Jillian's trucks. While there might have been some home court advantage, Jillian definitely had the speed in this contest.

And Of Course, Eggs Were Colored

Finn actually got to color eggs twice while we were home. First, we joined the Lamaze family in their annual egg coloring. And then on Saturday afternoon, we went to Molly's house to color eggs with the Thomas and Frost families. Finn had a great time. His favorite part by far was putting stickers on the eggs after they were dyed.

Finnegan Manning's Easter Extravaganza

Joe and I took Thursday and Friday off of work and headed to Ohio for a long Easter weekend. We started off the fun by hanging out with Gigi, Papa, and Aunt Jen. It was gorgeous out on Thursday, so Gigi, Finn and I went for a walk to look at the ducks, peacocks and flowers at Kingwood Center. The sun got a bit bright for Finn so he had to borrow Gigi's shades.

As you can see, Finn had a great time basking in all the attention he received from his Aunt.

Then on Friday, Finn and I met up with Vicki, Mike, Gillian and Iris to belatedly celebrate Grandma Laser's birthday. It was another gorgeous day, so along with having lunch and birthday cake, we got to spend time outside playing baseball and blowing bubbles.
