Millenium Park Rocks!

In late June, we decided to take the kids to play in the Millennium Park fountains.  This was one of our better ideas to date.  The kids had a BLAST!  Finn kept running towards the fountains and then running away squealing when the "mouth" started spitting water.  Sabine at one point was just rolling over and over in the water.  Then the girls both got down on their hands and knees and started blowing bubbles in the water.  Super hygienic?  Probably not. Hilarious?  Yes, very.  So hilarious in fact, that they attracted a group of about nine Asian tourists who took multiple pictures of them.  They must have wanted pictures of "crazy American children" to show their relatives.  Then after 45 minutes or so when Sabine was shaking with cold, we got them dressed and checked out the Bean.  I mean it's Beanie in front of the Bean.  How could we resist?  Then we had one of those "I love living in Chicago" moments, when we walked to the amphitheater and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra just happened to be rehearsing and a crowd had gathered on the grass to enjoy.  We, of course, joined in.  The girls playing in the grass.  Finn impressing us by knowing that one of the songs was from Peter and the Wolf because his Aunt Mary had given him the book with cd in it for his birthday.  Just an absolutely wonderful afternoon with the fam.
