New Years Weekend

The holiday weekend was an excellent one in the Kline/Manning house. On New Years Eve we all went to a friend's house for dinner and drinks. Finn had a LOT of fun showing off for the other guests (especially the female ones) until about 10:45 when he got so tired he just laid in my arms and cried. So Dad and I took him home, put him to bed, and watched the ball drop with a glass of champagne. Then the rest of the weekend consisted of a lot of rest and relaxation with just a few household chores also getting accomplished. One of those chores was to put together the easel that dad, mom, Gigi, and Papa gave Finn for Christmas. Although it took us a couple of hours to construct, it was well worth it because Finn LOVES it! He and Rosa spend a good portion of their day now drawing on it. Finn also used the holiday weekend to show off his growing language skills. His first English sentence is "I see you." His first Spanish sentence is "Aqui estan mis manos (here are my hands)." It was such a great weekend it was hard to see Monday come and know that the work year has started anew. But here are some cute pictures from the long weekend to soften the blow.

The morning Finn woke up to his new easel, he immediately got to work making some great pictures.
