Fun at Smarty Party Camp

Sandwiched between Finn's sessions at Emerald City theater camp were 4 weeks of Smarty Party camp at Alphonsus.  Finn loved it.  First, the woman who runs Smarty Party, Jen, has taken a liking to Finn and the feeling is mutual.  I mean, she threw one of the coolest pirate parties ever for Finn's fourth birthday, so how could he not love her?  Second, each week had a different theme - zookeepers, rainbows, wild west and fun at the beach.  To explore the theme each week, the kids would make costumes, do craft projects, read books and of course have recess.  And no matter what the theme, each Friday they got to play in the sprinklers and have popsicles.  Jen made it even more fun for me by sending pictures a couple of times a week so that I could see how Finn was doing.  Here are some of the highlights:

Finn loved the elephant mask he made for zookeepers week so much that he even wore it at recess.

All the zookeepers after a visit from the reptile man who let them pet snakes, turtles and lizards!

Cowboys on their "horses" during wild west week.

Could there BE a cuter cowboy?

Art project during rainbow week.

And you don't need a theme to sport your mean face while driving a princess car.

Sprinkler man!
