First Thanksgiving with the New Kitchen

Since we are now the fine owners of a functioning kitchen, we decided to put it through its paces by hosting Gigi, Papa and Aunt Jen for Thanksgiving.  It worked out spectacularly.

Obligatory Thanksgiving morning 5k or as Uncle Ed puts it "justify the pie."

After my run, Gigi, Jen and I got to work on pies.  The kids helped out by coloring a table cloth.

While the pies cooled, we took a little break.  What better time for the kids to ask Gigi to teach them how to knit?

Back to cooking.  The girls helping Jen with the green beans.

Meanwhile, Finn created the menu

It was quite the feast.

Even better than the food was enjoying some quality family time.  And wine...let's not kid...after 7 hours of cooking, the wine was much needed.

The next day, we worked off some calories by touring the Museum of Science and Industry.  Crazy kids playing in the agricultural exhibit (they were mooing).

Finn was picked to help demonstrate in the drone exhibit.  The drone landed on the piece of cardboard he was holding.
