Finnegan had exactly the birthday party that he had been wanting so very badly. Ever since he heard that Kids Science Labs hosted a kids party where a volcano exploded at the end, he HAD to have his party there. Because Finn had hyped this up in his head for months, I was worried there might be some letdown ... I needn't have worried. The party was actually more awesome that we ever imagined. It was so cool, Papa said he wanted to have his next birthday there! Finn is a very lucky 5 year old!

Mr. Standish was absolutely awesome. He got the kids excited about the experiments. He made sure that Finn felt special by allowing him to go first most of the time. And he kept a lot of kids completely enrapt for over an hour!

And last, but not least...the volcano explosion!
After the party was over, Finn got to open up all his gifts. He got a Justice League backpack and lunchbox from mom and dad along with the complete Harry Potter set. We started book one that night.
Sweet Spiderman swim trunks and swim shirt from Papa and Gigi. They also followed the Harry Potter theme and got Finn the first two movies. And Aunt Jenny came through with an awesome Magic School Bus science kit.
Finn also got tons of fun presents from his buddies, like this gold dig experiment from Emmit and a volcano kit from a school pal.
That is one happy 5 year old!
