Finn has been dreaming about Christmas since the day after Halloween. He knew
exactly what he wanted Santa to bring him ... an astronaut helmet. See Finn was an astronaut for Halloween. The site where I bought his costume did sell a matching helmet, but a hat was included in the costume price and I was sure he wouldn't wear a big helmet during trick or treating anyway because he would be too busy getting candy. Well while we were out trick or treating, Finn saw a boy with his
exact same costume ... Except his mommy was nice enough to get him the helmet. From that moment on, Finn was obsessed. He never wavered on what he wanted. Whenever he saw Santa in December, he asked for a helmet. At one point, Finn was invited to a classmate's house for a play date. The next day I saw that classmate's mom and asked her how things went. She said great, your son is very smart and asks a lot of questions. Oh, and in case you didn't know, he wants an astronaut helmet for Christmas. No kidding. Santa was so on Finn's mind that a few days before Christmas, he woke up in the middle of the night crying. When I asked him what was wrong he said: "I want my reindeer to have antlers." Like I said ... obsessed! So after we got back to Gigi and Papa's house on Christmas Eve night, we left cookies and milk out for Santa. And the next morning, Santa had left ... an astronaut helmet! Plus a tea set and a purse for Lourdes and Sabine! That pretty much made Finny's Christmas. The rest was just icing on the cake.

It is, after all, a sweet helmet!
Santa wasn't just looking out for Finn. Sabine and Lourdes were pretty stoked about their gifts too.
Being the good little sisters that they are, Sabine and Lourdes got Finn some sweet dress up clothes for Christmas.
The girls also got some really cute outfits from Gigi and Papa. Sabine's outfit included this cute little matching headband.
After the majority of the gifts were given, Sabine cuddled up with Gigi for some love.
But it wasn't over yet. There were still stockings to open. Gigi included some adorable knitted hats in the girls stockings.
I think it was a banner Christmas for everyone!
Christmas night a few of my high school classmates came over to chat over a drink or two. DeeDee brought her son Lukas and the boys got along great!
The next morning the kids were all about playing. While we were making breakfast, the kids played in the pots.
Then Lou decided she wanted to get in on the dress up too! Super Lou!
Bean just wanted to look pretty in her new hat.
All the kids with Aunt Jen listing to Gigi read a story. It was such a great holiday, none of us wanted it to end!
