Finnegan's Nine Months Old!

Finnegan had his nine month appointment today. He's 27.5 inches long (30th percentile) and 17 pounds 3 ounces (10th percentile), but he's in the 100th percentile for cuteness!

Happy 50th Linda!

This weekend Joe, Finn and I drove to Ohio to celebrate Grandma Kline's 50th birthday. Finn had his first glimpse of a racous Kline party - and loved it! He got to meet his Great Aunt Rita and many family friends and was still up for more when mom finally put him to bed at midnight! Here are a couple of pictures of Linda being a good sport and opening up a LOT of gag gifts. The last picture was after Bob, Linda, Jenny, Aunt Rita, Aunt Laura, Uncle Jerry, Joe, Finn and I came back from breakfast the day after the party.

Happy Valentine's Day, Finnegan!

Finn had a great first Valentine's Day. As you can see in the pictures, he got a cute little heart bear from Dad and Mom and a Peek a Boo I Love You flap book from his Grandparents who were out visiting. Then he got to chill and watch the NBA slam dunk contest while Mom and Dad had dinner out. Hope all of your V-Day's were equally nice!

Finnegan naps, laughs and crawls

After going out to a local diner for breakfast this morning, Finn went down for a nap around 10:15 in his crib. Joe was working, so I took this chance to catch a nap of my own. Finn woke up at 11, but I was hoping for a bit longer of a snooze so I brought him into bed with me. Here is a picture Joe snapped while Finn and I snoozed until noon! What a nice Sunday treat!

During one of Finn's baths this week, I was making him laugh by pushing his toys off the bath ledge and into the water while making animal sounds on the way down. He was giving some GREAT belly laughs before we pulled out the camera. He's a bit more reserved in this clip, but is still being pretty cute.

Since before Christmas, Finn has been getting around by employing the army crawling strategy. A tried and true method, but a relatively slow one. Mom and Dad were able to stop him well before he got his hand into the coveted kitty water dish. Well this week he decided to put his knees to use, and is zipping around the apartment and already getting into MUCH more trouble. He's not only gotten into the kitty's water dish several times, but once got his hand right into her wet food - gross! He's also become a menace to himself as he can get himself up the stair in our bedroom no problem, but isn't quite so successful when he tries to go face first back down!

Coming soon - a picture of Finny's first tooth. You can already feel it popping through!

A Weekend with the Mudras

Kristin, Joe and baby Jillian drove all the way to Chicago to spend the weekend with us. We had a great time and the babies got along really well. They even taught each other a few things: after watching Finn get into trouble with his army crawling, Jillian started spending more time on her tummy; and Finn, after listening to Jillian talk up a storm saying "dada" and "mama," now says both words a whole lot more, much to his mom and dad's delight! Come back soon, Mudras!

Here's a picture of Finn and Jillian playing with Finn's drum.

On Saturday during the day, we went to the Shedd Aquarium. The babies seemed to like looking at all the cool fish. That night Rosa babysat so the adults could go out to dinner and to see Slumdog Millionaire. It was awesome, highly recommend!

On Sunday before the Mudras went home, Finn and Jillian played with the toys on his exersaucer.
