It has become an annual tradition for Dad and Finn to go over to Uncle Pappy's house to work on their pinewood derby car. Uncle Jon was, after all, a scout who had won 3rd place at his pinewood derby. Last year, Finn tied his godfather. But this year, they had a big plan to redistribute the car's weight and do even better...
And it worked! Finn came in first place. He was beyond thrilled.

The girls and I were not able to witness Finn's winning races, because we were near O'Hare at their first dance convention. All I can say is WOW! Dance moms are a bit scary. But the girls had a good time.
And to cap off a busy/victorious weekend...the boys went to a Blackhawks game.
