Halloween Fun!

Halloween week was a bit of non-stop madness.  It all started the Friday before Halloween with the annual Alphonsus party.  Finn made such a perfect Harry Potter, while the girls were cute as buttons as mermaids.

By Sunday, we were ready to carve pumpkins.  The kids were actually really good at helping de-seed the pumpkins this year.

Then we let Finn and the girls collectively choose an intricate design for Dad and I to attempt to carve while they were distracted painting their little pumpkins.

Finn took his pumpkin very seriously and I thought he did a great job.  The girls did not spare any color while painting theirs.  We only told the kids to take their tops off while painting.  When Lou started to take her bottoms off as well, she told me that she "likes being naked."  Let's see if that comes back to bite us in 15 years.

Finn picked the homicidal maniac (which Joe created) and the girls picked Cinderella (which I did my best at).  These designs almost break me every year and I'm always amazed they actually hang together.

On to Halloween morning and a parade through the halls of Alphonsus.

Trick or treating was iffy as it was down pouring for the majority of the afternoon.  But the rain took a break for about an hour around 5:30 and we headed out the door to get our treats.  The kids were so excited!
