Fall Fun at County Line Orchard

Much to Joe's chagrin, who hates all crowded, holiday tourist traps, I thought it would be fun to take the kids apple picking at County Line Orchard.  The apple picking turned out to be less than stellar.  See it was a bad year for apples and all the apples at the orchard were inedible, but instead of losing a ton of money by closing down the apple picking they decided to instead go with "it's raining apples" as their theme this year.  What that consisted of was running gutters through the apple trees and filling those gutters with two different kinds of store bought apples.  So the kids literally were picking apples out of gutters and putting them into their bag.  Not quite the "back to nature" trip I had planned, but the kids had fun.  And there was tons of other stuff at County Line Orchard to keep them busy after apple picking, like a train ride, petting zoo, play area, tractors etc.  Needless to say, the kids had a blast.

The aforementioned gutters.

And we are off on a train ride.

Self portrait.

Finn is such a ham.  He'll pose in front of or behind anything if it means you'll snap his picture.

The kids play area was a big hit with all three of the kids.

The tractor was another big ticket item.  Lourdes threw a FIT when it was time to let the other kids take a turn.

I'm sorry to say it Joe, but I can see this being an annual event.
