Random late April/early May Fun

Friday night in our American Girl night gowns

Taking in the second half of Zachary's rainy soccer game

Before bringing him home to our pad for some Mexican food and book reading

After a business trip to Denver, I got home early enough to drink tea with my little man and read some Percy Jackson

Fun with Frogs

Gorgeous sunny day in April means a trip to the Morton Arboretum to check out the  new frogs exhibit.

A sign of a successful visit.

Finn's First Communion

Finn had a wonderful first communion and felt so loved.  Grandparents and Godmom Kris made the trip all the way from Ohio.  And while Godfather Jon lives in the city, he also sacrificed by giving up his Blackhawks playoff tickets to attend the ceremony.  Finn is a very lucky boy.  And we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

Finn took the day very seriously and knew exactly what he was supposed to do.  So proud.

His wonderful Godparents

After the ceremony, we came home for a little party with our friends and neighbors.  It was so wonderful to have everyone over.  Finn felt so special.  And no party is complete without cake!

Daddy/Daughter Dance

The girls were SO excited to go to their first daddy/daughter dance.  And daddy was even sweet enough to pick them up corsages for their big night.

Taking a break from dancing to refuel with a slice.

Official portrait.  So cute!

Random April fun with the Girls

Running into our friend Serafina at Emerald City theatre

Having Maddy and Elena over for our first ever tea party. It was a big hit!

The lovely face mommy gets to wake up to most days.  Lu loves to sneak into our bed.  Sabine is more than happy to get her beauty rest in her room.

The girls are so excited for kindergarten!  How did they get so big!

Visit from the Manning-Thomas family

Molly, Xavier and Isabelle came out to spend a few days in Chicago after Easter.  First up, we had to show them the awesomeness that is Maggie Daley Park.

Then we took a walk down the newly re-done river walk

And we finished our downtown adventure at Millennium Park

And no trip to Chicago is complete without a feast at Medieval Times.  And our knight won the tournament!
